“Finally,” Leeteuk rested his head on Kangin’s lap on the sofa, eyes fluttering to a close. It had been 2 weeks since he’d had a gap in his schedule since the heavy promotion of Sorry Sorry. Now, he only wanted to spend quality alone time with his favourite member, Kangin.

“Finally what?” Kangin barely hid a huge yawn escaping from his mouth.

“Finally we get a gap in our schedules at the same time and now I want to be with you.” Leeteuk turned his head up and smiled at Kangin, who smiled back sleepily.

“Mm-hm.” Kangin smiled back. He ran his fingers through Leeteuk’s hair, relishing the soft silkiness of it.

“Oh, Kangin…” Leeteuk sighed before he felt his eyelids close by themselves and they both fall asleep. Almost.

“Leeteuk HYUUUUUUNG!!!!” Eunhyuk ran up to the sofa where the two of them were, sobbing hard. He threw himslef onto Leeteuk’s body lying down, and Leeteuk felt his shirt soaking through with Eunhyuk’s tears.

“Yahh yahh yahh get off me!” Leeteuk yelped as he felt Eunhyuk ruining his favourite white shirt.

“Hyung…” Eunhyuk whimpered. He had this weird look on his face, like a lost puppy, rejected, with tears staining his cheeks and eyes red, that Leeteuk immediately felt something soften in his heart, and forgave him in his mind immediately.

“What is it?” He tried to sound as if he really cared, but it came out short and annoyed instead. He hoped that wouldn’t affect Eunhyuk’s emotions any further than it already was.

“Donghae… He…” Eunhyuk sniffed, and pointed towards the direction of the room Leeteuk and Donghae were sharing. “Kibum…” Eunhyuk started wailing again, this time into Kangin’s shirt instead, and Kangin immediately leapt of the sofa and pushed him away. Leeteuk gave Kangin a fierce look before taking Eunhyuk into his arms.

“It’s ok it’s ok…” He said nervously, trying to calm Eunhyuk down, who looked like he was going to throw a fit any time soon. “What’s happening with Donghae and Kibum? They bullied you?” He asked that, even though it was obviously not that. Eunhyuk was always the one bullying Donghae.

“No..” Eunhyuk shook his head in Leeteuk’s chest, spreading the tears over a wider surface area over Leeteuk’s shirt. The leader winced, but still patted Eunhyuk’s head lightly.

“They are…kissing…” Eunhyuk broke out into fresh tears again. Kangin had stomped off into his own room, not before telling Eunhyuk to shut up and to please for God’s sake talk to Leeteuk properly and stop wailing like a girl. Leeteuk wondered how a small boy like Eunhyuk could hold so much tears. Wait a minute. Just hold on for one minute. Donghae and Kibum are…kissing?

“Kissing?!” Leeteuk exclaimed. “What??!” He had always thought it was Eunhae. Since when did a KiHae pop out? “Is Kibum drunk?” Was the first thing he thought out loud.

“No he’s not.” Eunhyuk shook his head again. Ok, Leeteuk should stop asking questions now, lest his whole shirt got soaked. “Perfectly sober. I think I’m scarred for life, hyung.”

“It’s only kissing.” He said carefully, and immediately regretted it. For now Eunhyuk had started pounding him with his fists all over his chest. Owch!

“ONLY??! MY DONGHAE IS OOOONLY KISSING WITH THAT IDIOT OF A KIBUM??!!!” Eunhyuk pushed himself away from Leeteuk and ran into his room, slamming the door as he went. Leeteuk rubbed his sore chest, wincing in pain. He decided to check this whole kissing thing out. He tip-toed to his and Donghae’s room. The door was not locked. Not even closed, it was slightly open.

Leeteuk pushed the door a little to see inside. He gasped when he saw the sight in front of him. It took him a few seconds to comprehend what he was seeing, he couldn’t believe it. Donghae and Kibum were engaged in a steamy make out session. “What the-??!!” He couldn’t help saying it out loud. The both of them stopped abruptly, spinning their heads in Leeteuk’s direction. Donghae blushed incredibly hard and jumped into the bed, burying his head in the pillow. Kibum simply walked out of the room, giving Leeteuk a why-are-you-staring-you-mean-you-haven’t-seen-two-guys-make-out-before look. Leeteuk’s mouth opened and closed in shock, just like a fish.

Soon, though, he managed to compose himself before walking up to Donghae. He put on his most leader-like voice before saying, “Donghae-yahh. What did you think you were doing with Kibum?”

“Shrofry-” Donghae said something into his pillow, sounding something along the lines of an apology to Leeteuk. He just wanted to let Donghae’s embarrassment fade off and go calm Kangin down, but this was part of being the leader of a group. Others before self. Even though he’d gladly crumple the self-imposed rule and throw it down the rubbish chute. He sighed, audibly.

“Donghae-yahh…” He didn’t know what to say, how to continue. “I’m not against you kissing other guys or anything…” He wrung his hands uncomfortably. Speaking with someone other than Kangin about such a touchy matter just felt, well, wrong, to him. “You know.. But you let Eunhyuk down. And how he’s upset.”

“Eunhyuk?” Donghae looked up from the pillow, fringe ruffled, cheeks still bright red from before. Then he crashed back into the pillow, mumbling, “What about him?”

“Well he’s, you know. Upset. That you didn’t spend enough time with him. And now here you are…” Leeteuk gestured towards Donghae’s figure, all hunched up and Leeteuk didn’t know if he was hiding from embarrassment or crying. Donghae shifted a little, obviously uncomfortable in his current position, and lay flat down on the bed, and now real sobs were escaping from his mouth, muffled by the pillow, but still, sobs.

“KANGIN HYUNG!!!!!” Leeteuk jumped up when he heard the high-pitched voice yelling from the kitchen. Oh no, he thought. Fresh food maniac out of control again. Kangin is in deep shit. He was torn between staying and solving this EunKiHae thing, and helping Kangin out and calming Ryeowook down. He hoped Yesung didn’t have a schedule now, and could help him for the time being. Thankfully, he heard Yesung’s low, clear voice.

“Ryeowook-ahh, calm down.”

“HYUNG!” Ryeowook almost whined. “How can I calm down when Kangin-hyung is hiding a stash of instant ramen in the back of the cupboard??! UGH!”

Leeteuk really pitied Yesung now, but there was nothing he could do about it till later. He decided to help Donghae out first. “So what actually happened? Donghae?” The latter had turned his body and now sat up at the side of the bed, legs dangling. His face was still bright red, his whole head of hair ruffled now, and he had a forlorn look in his eyes.

“Donghae? Tell me what happened. And why. It’s my job to help you.” Leeteuk walked over to Donghae and gingerly sat down next to him on the bed. Surprisingly (shockingly), he was scared to sit near Donghae, because of what he saw just 10 minutes ago, and was afraid Donghae would suddenly pounce on him and violate him.

“It’s not me, hyung. It’s Kibum.” Donghae had a strained voice, his eyes were glazed over, like someone stole his soul or something. “Ki. Bum.” He whispered the name again, and Leeteuk sensed this was not out of lust, or respect, but fear.

“What about Kibum?” Leeteuk resisted bombarding him with all the questions in his head right now. He had been in Donghae’s position before (he was sure he had), and would hate too many questions. So he stuck to the topic.

“He just…he just…” Donghae paused, and Leeteuk started counting the seconds, in his head. One… Two… Three… Four… Five… Six… Seven… Ei-

And Donghae leapt out of the bed, and ran out of the room, screaming Eunhyuk’s real name. “Hyukjae yahhh!!” He heard the door open violently, and the cry of Eunhyuk as Donghae crushed him in a tight hug.

“I’m sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry I’m really very sorry hyung I love you I love you I love you…” Donghae’s grip on Eunhyuk didn’t relax, until Eunhyuk said, “I..Donghae…can’t…breathe…” And let out a huge gush of air as Donghae finally loosened his grip.

“Ok Donghae…” Eunhyuk held the smaller boy’s shoulders, firmly but gently. “Just…don’t do this again, okay?” He leaned in, and claimed back what was his.

After that, Donghae was the happiest person in the world. Leeteuk sighed in relief at the young boy’s cries of joy. Well, speaking to Kibum and finding out what happened could always come later. He winced when Ryeowook’s voice filled the house again.

“You could always ask me to cook something for you!!!” Ryeowook looked like he wanted to slap Kangin when Leeteuk walked into the kitchen.

“But I miss my instant ramen, and no one can stop me from taking any.” Kangin hollered back, now he couldn’t take it anymore. “What’s up with you and your OCD?! I can’t stand it anymore, Kim Ryeowook! You’re gonna have to let me do what I want. You can’t stop me.” He finished simply, and stormed out of the kitchen, grabbing Leeteuk’s shoulder and turning the leader’s body around.

Kangin steered Leeteuk to their room, his other hand still holding his open packet of instant ramen. He threw it onto the floor with an air of vengeance. Leeeteuk squatted down to pick it up, then put it on their dresser. He frowned at Kangin, who was eyeing Leeteuk’s movements, while breathing heavily. He was still upset with Ryeowook. Leeteuk sighed.

“Youngwoo-” He started, but Kangin interrupted him.

“It’s Kangin, hyung! Kangin! And if you’re gonna reprimand me for shouting at Ryeowook, I’m sorry! But I just want to make it clear to him that he’s not the king of the kitchen! And he can do whatever to the other members, but he can’t do it to me! I can eat what I want! It’s my body, not HIS!” With that, Kangin turned around and punched the wall behind him, yelling out in anger.

“Yahh!! Stop it! Young-KANGIN!” Leeteuk grabbed Kangin’s arm and summoned all his strength just to stop him from driving his hand into the wall again. Luckily, the wall didn’t crack, but unfortunately, Kangin’s hand did. Kangin’s knuckles were bleeding, and Leeteuk immediately took out his antiseptic cream from the dresser.

“I just don’t want to eat secretly anymore.” He had calmed down a lot after that punch, and Leeteuk was wondering if he could buy something for Kangin to punch everytime he got angry, if it was this easy to calm him down.

Leeteuk gently spread the cream over Kangin’s hand. The latter didn’t wince in pain, he just stared blankly at Leeteuk’s fingers moving swiftly over his hand, white with the cream. He sighed.

“Go and apologize to Ryeowook later, okay?” Leeteuk screwed the cap of the tube closed, and placed it neatly in the drawer. Kangin, nodded. Leeteuk didn’t think he really registered what he asked him to do, but that was alright. He could always ask him again later. He stood up and left Kangin in the room as he walked to the kitchen to check on things.

“Is Ryeowook okay?” He asked Yesung, who was sitting at the dining table outside reading the newspaper. Yesung nodded, and gestured his head towards the kitchen, saying, “At times like these, it’s better to leave him alone. You can talk to him if you want.” Leeteuk nodded, and proceeded to the kitchen-

Where he found Ryeowook, going through all the cupboards and larders and the fridge to see if anyone kept any other instant foods inside the house. There was a fierce sparkle in his eyes, and Leeteuk could see that the rubbish bag beside him was already filled halfway. He didn’t know that the other members purposely defied the Eternal Magnae like that. He for one didn’t. So he was surprised, and felt a pang for Ryeowook.

“Ryeowook-ah, I’m sorry.” He felt awkward, feeling as if he sounded like one of Ryeowook’s relatives passed away (touch wood!) and that he was mourning. “Kangin just doesn’t like people to-”

“Then if he likes he can live on the 12th floor. I won’t be there to “harass” him then.” Ryeowook emphasized “harass” very fiercely, and Leeteuk got taken aback by that sentence. The Ryeowook he knew was quiet and polite, and didn’t dare to answer back. Who knew instant food could make him like that.

“Ryeowook,” he put on leader-voice, hoping Ryeowook would stop doing what he was doing and listen to him. Unfortunately, he didn’t. Ryeowook picked up the rubbish bag, tied a dead knot, and put his shoes on. He was going downstairs to dispose of the junk food. Leeteuk stared after him, appalled.

“He’ll be alright once he comes back.” Yesung had stepped into the kitchen, newspaper neatly folded and tucked under his arm. “He’s always like that. You’d better get used to it, hyung.” He winked at the leader, who blinked his eyes in disbelief.

“He’ll be back soon, throwing out rubbish doesn’t take him 5 minutes.” Yesung walked back out again.

Leeteuk decided that he’d never ever not listen to Ryeowook. Ever again. With that thought, he nodded his head in satisfaction and went back to his room. Time to find Kibum.
